Inglewood & Districts Health Service (IDHS) is committed to providing a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for all children and young people.

We are dedicated to ensuring that children in our care are safe, respected, valued and empowered.

IDHS has zero tolerance for child abuse. We are committed to actively preventing child abuse, identifying risks early, and taking appropriate steps to remove and reduce those risks.

We demonstrate this commitment by:

• Maintaining robust recruitment and screening practices for all staff and volunteers
• Providing ongoing training and education to ensure our workforce understands and responds to child safety risks
• Implementing policies and procedures that support a strong culture of child safety and wellbeing

• The cultural safety of children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
• A safe, inclusive environment for children with disability

We support and respect all children, and are committed to their participation, inclusion and empowerment in decisions that affect them.

All concerns, allegations or disclosures of child abuse are taken seriously and responded to promptly and consistently in line with our policies and legal obligations. Where appropriate, we will report concerns to the relevant authorities.
